New Addition ....

I have been caught up in life and because of that I have been missing. Hopefully things will settle a bit and I can get back into both blogging and stitching.

Our daughter had her second child on Tuesday 24th April, 2012. Our second grandson, hopefully no more for a little while as it is possible that this little guy may have Cystic Fibrosis. We are waiting on the doctors. So, fingers crossed that all is ok.

My two pattern choices for this month were Couch Dragon by Randal Spangler and QS Pick A Pumpkin by CC Kuik.

I decided that I would go back to University at the beginning of 2012 to get my degree. The way the economy is, its proving difficult to find work, and besides I would like to do something different. Since I decided to make this decision, it has affected my stitching. I'm half way through the 1st semester and I haven't had any chance to get to my stitching. I am trying to get time to work on at least one of my projects. I guess I thought that I would still have some free time, but that hasn't eventuated yet.

Until next time, happy stitching

  2. Congratulations on the birth of your grandchild! I really hope he doesn't have cystic fibrosis.

You've picked some lovely charts, I love the bright colours!

Hope your studying is going well and you manage to find some time to fit some stitching in.

  3. Hey chick, hope everything's okay with the little one.
Love the new choices, especially the SPangler, I've got my eye on that one as well.

  4. Beautiful chart choices! I do hope the little one doesn't have CF as my family are carriers of the disease and there were alot of genetic testing done to ensure it doesn't get passed on so I know it can be a big worry and I wish them all well.... fingers crossed for him! xx

  5. I hope your grandson is all right!

The charts you picked are very lovely =) As a student I know how demanding university can be. Last semester I didn't really get any stitching done, but in this semester it's okay. I hope you can manage to find some time for stitching =)

  6. love the couch dragon pattern. I know going back to school is challenging, staying focused at one semester at a time, works wonders in not getting overwhelmed. I have several years to go for my degree, and the first semester or two does take awhile to get back in the swing of things.

wishing good thoughts and prayers for your grandson.
