Out the window it goes ....

I've decided that my goal challenge now needs to be revised considerably. I know that I will not be able to meet my goals in any shape or form. So, I am now just working on what takes my fancy and as I enlarge my pages into quarters, my goal is to just complete a quarter page at a time on any given project. So far it is working for me. But, I keep forgetting to take photos. Must remember to get around to this when I finish here.

Until next time, happy stitching

Whats happening ....

I brought my Masquerade SK out to make some sort of progress on it and I have managed some. Every little bit helps. I will probably carry on working on this so that I complete page 1, this will help with my half year challenge. I need to get a move on with that, I haven't looked at PBF for a while now. That will have to move up in priority.

I have also been madly making lists because it will be my birthday shortly and I would prefer that my family brought me "stitchy" things, so I have all these little lists stuck on the fridge, so when DH or one of the kids asks, I can just refer them there. Sounds logical, will let you know if it actually works though.

I am one third of the way through the baby shawl I am knitting for my nephew's partner. She had her baby shower last weekend, and when she saw the rabbit I made she was so happy because nobody had given her a toy, but mine was that much better because it was made with love. I had also given her a knitted jacket with a hood for baby and a baby book (sorry, forgot to take pictures). So, hopefully I get the shawl finished for baby's arrival at the beginning of November.

In other news, I am going to be a Nana!!!! YAY!! My daughter is four months along and yesterday we had a visit to the Midwife and heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. This is going to be such fun preparing for this new little addition to our family. My daughter doesn't realise it but Dragon Luck is for her little one and when we were discussing Train of Dreams and Eldar last week that was also going to be for the little one. Oh Wow!!! So many things I want to do, but only so much time in which to do it.

License to create ...

I don't need another WIP but when the opportunity presents itself, you grab it with both hands. The most recent SAL theme on the HAED BB was "A New Start Stitch a Long", but not just any old one, it had to be one that had been there for a year and you never really got around to it, for one reason and another. But because I only found out about Heaven and Earth back in about May of this year, I think, I was allowed a bit of leeway so that gave me the reason to start another project, (as if I needed an excuse. Haha).

So here is QS Dragon Luck (you can see in my sidebar what he will look like when he is finished). I was meaning to begin this project as part of my half year challenge anyway, and I am so fond of this little guy I haven't been able to resist working on him at any chance I get. I started this on 27 August, I forgot to take a photo after the first week, so this picture is after 2 weeks. I read a book during that time so I didn't do as much as I could have. But  what does that matter, I'm back playing with him again this week.

My son turned 18 over the weekend and this is part of my dessert. It was sooooo YUM!!!!

I finished something ....

Well nearly, Polar Bear Fun was in rotation last week and I have completed page 1, so that is one small tick for my half year challenge. I ended up working on this longer than my usual weekly routine because I was so close to finishing the page. So I had to keep going until I did and I am really glad that I did.
Now, that I have completed my first page, I can add another project to my rotation, so I am currently gridding my fabric in preparation to begin QS Dragon Luck. I think I will have to set a goal to make my first stitches once I have completed my challenge for Poppy Night Adventure or Masquerade SK, whichever comes first. That way I am making progress with my challenge, seems fair.

I want, I want ....

Recently I have been asked about the cross stitch patterns that I have been working on. Due to copyright it would be wrong of me to forward a copy on to anyone, so I am sorry. But you are able to purchase these patterns from the designers at Heaven and Earth Designs. They have a tremendous amount of patterns to choose from, are really wonderful to deal with and the options that you have available to you when purchasing are really great.

On to other things. I would like to say "Welcome" to all my new followers, now that I have you I must remember to post regularly so that you continue to visit, so here is my latest update on Poppy Night Adventure.

I do think I am "over it" at the moment though, I have managed to complete half of page 1, so that puts me in a good place on that one. Don't get me wrong it still inspires me to carry on with it, but it sure isn't screaming at me any more. So its time for a change, this week is Storykeep Stitch a Long week on the HAED BB so its time to change up and try and get at least half of that first page completed and out of the way. Besides I have to get on to Dragon Luck, I'm almost bursting at the seems to do this one because its for a very special someone, but I will elaborate at a later date. I don't want to jinx it now.

Until next time, happy stitching

Half year challenge ....

Okay, as I am a fairly new member of the Heaven and Earth Designs Bulletin Board I decided that I would become much more involved in the group and join the Half Year Challenge. So to keep myself honest and so that it is in plain site for ME to see, I will make a note of my list here -
  • Polar Bear Fun - Finish pages 1, 8 and 15
  • Poppy Night Adventure - Finish page 1
  • Masquerade SK - Finish page 1
  • QS Dragon Luck - (New start) - Finish 1/2 of page 1
I needed to include a new start because I knew that I would need it, probably as an incentive, or maybe to feel as though I was achieving something, even if it is increasing my WIP pile.

Until next time, happy stitching
